Celebrating 30 Years of Preventing Child Abuse

Exchange/SCAN is celebrating our 30th anniversary! In 1981, Exchange/SCAN first opened its doors to begin the work of child abuse prevention in Winston-Salem. In the years since the first center opened, SCAN has broadened its reach to serve 17 counties across the state, furthering its mission to prevent and treat child abuse in North Carolina. With centers in Forsyth, Surry/Stokes, Alamance, and Yadkin Counties, Exchange/SCAN has been able to serve thousands of families and continues to make an impact as a strong voice in child abuse prevention in the state. As part of the network of National Exchange Foundation Child Abuse Prevention centers, Exchange/SCAN continues to be a leader, both in research and in practice.
In the spirit of celebration, we are asking you to consider giving $30-one dollar for every year Exchange/SCAN has been changing lives through child abuse prevention and treatment. Your tax-deductible donation will make an immediate difference in our efforts to provide services to families in each of our centers. Your donation can be made generally to support Exchange/SCAN, or you can designate that your donation benefit one of our individual centers.
Please send your donation to one of the centers listed below. If you would like to receive credit for the 2011 tax year, please be sure to send your gift before December 31, 2011. If you wish for your donation to benefit a specific center, please indicate so on your check. In addition, please share this information with others who might be willing to join in this cause.
