We need your help to
Stop Child Abuse Now. Whether you have a lot or just a little
time to give, there are many ways you can fight child abuse
as an Exchange/SCAN volunteer:
Volunteer Parent Aides
spend about four hours a week with a family
that needs help. We give you professional supervision and
support, but you'll be the one making the real difference.
You'll be part of a program that works -- over 88% of clients
who complete this treatment are not resubstantiated for abuse
or neglect. Please contact Melody Brown at 748-9028 for
more information.
Child Care Volunteers
help care for children whose parents are attending
support groups or parenting classes, or provide "respite
care" for parents who need a break. By giving just a little
bit of your time, you'll be helping parents gain the skills
they need for a healthier family.
Welcome
Baby Volunteers spend about two hours
a week supporting first time mothers from before the time
of delivery until the baby is three months old. You'll help
new moms and babies get their best possible start together.
Community
Education Volunteers teach the community
about child abuse and ways to prevent it. Become part of our
speaker's bureau.
Fundraising/Special
Events Volunteers The sky is the limit!
Use your talents in a variety of ways to make our fundraising
and special events successful. You can help raise funds, raise
awareness or make a lovely event for our clients.
